Michaelton’s ambient immersion drifts like a tide, pulling listeners into a world of improvised soundscapes that are romantic, emotional, and deeply introspective. Dreamy waves of texture will gradually open into original music with warm grooves, lush undercurrents, and soulful vocals. This performance features Kavyesh Kaviraj on piano and Sami Knox on percussion and FX.

Wormdove (aka Beck from Room3) will perform a meditative opening set on bass.

Michaelton’s work as a vocalist, producer, and musician stems from a core fascination: How can music and sound become tools for profound self-discovery? Blending jazz sensibilities with electronic experimentation, he leverages music technology to explore the deepest layers of human experience.

Kavyesh Kaviraj is a critically acclaimed composer, arranger and pianist living and working in Minnesota. The Twin Cities–based musician has worked with several internationally renowned artists, including Wynton Marsalis, David Sanchez, Justin Robinson, Roosevelt Collier, and Steve Cole.

Sami Knox, aka Minneapolis-based drummer/producer/DJ Sam Enochs, pushes the boundaries of rhythm and groove within electronic music. Combining a lifetime of instrumental experience and an 18-year production career in a variety of musical genres, this project expresses the influences of dubstep, jungle/drum&bass, and 2-step/garage/breaks through the lens of a jazz/funk drummer.

Balancing the underground and the skies, Wormdove explores the limits of the bass as a solo instrument. Beck, also a member of local jazz fusion group room3, pushes himself to be authentic and vulnerable within his art and daily life in pursuit of his greatest potential.
